Teresa SWERN

SWERN, Teresa - On Sunday, May 24, 2026, at Sunnybrook Hospital, surrounded by her family. Teresa and Larry met at U of T in 1961. Five minutes after meeting, Teresa and Larry knew they had met the love of their lives. They spent the next 65 years holding on to each other, never letting go. Teresa and Larry married in 1965, had two children, Ruthe and Michael. She introduced them, and eventually their grandchildren, to art, music, and an abundance of love. Teresa was a talented artist, an Olympic-level horseback rider, all on the back burner, so she could do what was most important: be with and look after her family. Grandchildren, Zacharie Felix, and Samuel adored her. Teresa spent many special nana days with each child, introducing them to the beauty of the theatre and classical music. Teresa made the world a better place. We miss her. Thank you to the Odette Cancer Centre, Dr. Mary Jane Lim-Fat, and Eirena Calabrese, who gave Teresa and her family courage and strength during this difficult time.
