Life & Legacy

SCHNEIDERMAN, Anne - It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of our beloved Anne Schneiderman (Guth) on April 2, 2026. Anne was born on May 4, 1951, at Grace Hospital in Toronto to Rose and Victor Guth, of blessed memory. From an early age, she carried a natural warmth and compassion that would come to define her life. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy from the University of Toronto and went on to build a career that truly reflected who she was, dedicating herself to children and families living with severe disabilities. Later, she founded her own practice, continuing to support those recovering from life-altering traumatic injuries with the same care, patience, and heart. In 1972, she met the love of her life, Jack Schneiderman, her partner in everything, her best friend and soulmate. They were married on December 21, 1972, and built a life filled with love, laughter, and togetherness. Whether they were traveling, cooking side by side, or hosting family and friends, Anne created a home that felt warm, welcoming, and full of life. In 1976, they welcomed their first-born son, Adam, followed by their daughter, Aimee, in 1981. Anne was the heart of her family. Her love was constant, selfless, and unconditional. She had a way of making everything feel okay, with her positivity, her gentle reassurance, and that unmistakable smile that so many will remember. She loved to travel, and she loved the cottage, but more than anything, she loved being surrounded by the people she cared about. Celebrating milestones, big or small, brought her genuine joy. Her greatest joy in later years was her four grandchildren, Sam, Yale, Jenny, and Ryan. Each relationship was uniquely hers, and she made every one of them feel deeply loved and special. Whether it was sleepovers, Shabbat dinners, weekend breakfasts, time at the cottage, or cheering them on from the sidelines, she showed up fully and lovingly, again and again. Anne was a devoted daughter, sister, sister-in-law, wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt. She was also a loyal and lifelong friend, someone who stayed connected, who showed up, and who cared deeply. She is survived by her loving husband, Jack; her brother, Freddy Guth (Audrey); her children, Adam and Aimee (Rob); and her cherished grandchildren, Sam, Jenny, Yale, and Ryan. Auntie George also leaves behind her niece Shauna (Sean) and nephews Billy (Lisa), Benji (Mia) and Jesse. She will forever be remembered for her schnitzel and "pink stuff" but especially for her kindness, warmth, radiant smile and the way she made people feel simply by being herself. Her zest for life was steady and genuine, and her presence made the world feel lighter. She will be deeply missed, always remembered, and forever loved.
