Lloyd LAVINE

LAVINE, Lloyd David - Lloyd David Lavine, born January 11, 1933, in Toronto, Ontario, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2026. He was predeceased by his parents Lillian and Maurice Lavine, his son Joel, and his second wife Julia. Lloyd grew up in Toronto and attended Forest Hill Collegiate, where he met Tema Bernstein (now Title), with whom he raised three children. A graduate of the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Commerce, Lloyd built a successful career as a Chartered Accountant. Earlier in his career, he worked in the investment and mortgage business, serving as a managing partner and enjoying what he fondly called "wheeling and dealing" to strengthen his clients' portfolios. In his final working years, Lloyd was a partner at Price Waterhouse, where he also became a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA). Lloyd is survived by his daughters Mona (Rocco) and Susan (Bruce), his brother Alan (Carol), and his four beloved grandchildren Drew (Rebecca), Morgan (Jane), Griffin (Deryn), and Madison, of whom he was immensely proud. Known to them as "Zaidie," he was a loving and generous father and grandfather. The family extends heartfelt thanks to Lloyd's devoted caregivers Clarita Egar, Florence Soliven, and Ryan Egar for their compassionate care.
