Barry Borden

BORDEN, Barry - Beloved husband of Susan. Loving father and father-in-law of Lisa Borden and Rob Storm, and Karen Borden and Nelson Switzer. Cherished Zaida of Ryan, Joey, Andy, Noah, and Ethan. Barry was someone who took care - of all people and all things. He was perfectly suited to be a family physician, dealing with all his patients attentively and in the kindest way possible. He cared for generations of families and brought many newborns into the world - it was his joy and he felt his responsibility. In that same dutiful manner, he ran North York General's Emergency Department for years, trained new family physicians in his office, and it was his honour to be a Mohel. Tradition was most important to him. He had a second home at Holy Blossom Temple, as a congregant and as a leader. Even at our family cottage, Grey Owl, a place he loved in every season, he cared for it, so others could enjoy it as well. Most of all, he was the centre of our family. A dedicated and loving son to Ruth (Z'l) and Harvey (Z'l), son-in-law to Lou (Z'l) and Pearl, brother to Alan (Z'l) and Gloria (Z'l) , and Howard and Ellen, and very dear uncle, cousin, and friend to countless others. We will love and miss him every day.
