Merissa Jenna Loeb - With broken hearts and tremendous grief, we announce the sudden passing of Merissa Jenna Loeb on Saturday, April 4, 2026. In Jewish tradition, it is a special honour to pass away on the Sabbath. Merissa leaves behind her mother, Lori Taller (Mendy), her father, Arthur Loeb (Karen Shiller), adored sister, Jessica Gherman (Alexei), and beloved brother, Jarred- Ross. She was a proud and loving Auntie to Joyce and Aurora. Merissa will be deeply missed by her special Bubby Phyllis, and her many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. Merissa's family thanks all of her devoted caregivers, past and present, in particular Amanda Moon and JoAnne Sedore, and the Tamir administration, for their unwavering dedication and support. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, April 7th at the Jewish Memorial Chapel, (address not shown), Ottawa. Interment will follow at Jewish Memorial Gardens, (address not shown), Ottawa. Shiva will be observed at 38 Metropole, apartment 2903 starting on Friday April 10th from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and will resume Sunday though Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm with services at 7:30pm.
