In Loving Memory
Rolando Isaac Ezri
Date of Passing: Sept 17, 2026
Life & Legacy
Roland Ezri passed away peacefully on Sept 17, 2026. Dad was born in Cairo in 1936. He lived in Egypt, Italy and Israel before settling in Canada. He married and is survived by Norma Ezri (Loewenthal). Dad spoke five languages. He had a meticulous personality that found expression in his chosen profession as an accountant. He worked as an auditor with the Auditor General’s Office for many years before retiring to a life of writing, listening to opera and taking long walks. He passed with his daughter Rita Ezri and son Michael and daughter-in-law Julie Sternberg at his side. He was loved by and loved his Rita’s husband, Terry Eastman as his own. Dad was predeceased by his beloved grandson Joshua Eastman and we take comfort in imagining them together again. He is loved and missed by his grandson Jeremy Eastman and his granddaughter Stephanie Ezri. He is lovingly remembered in Montreal by his brother Robert Ezri and his wife Liette Ezri (Theoret) along with the rest of the Montreal family, including Allan Ezri, Frederic Ezri and their amazing children and grandchildren, along with family in Israel.
