Michael Witt

WITT, Michael - Michael Witt passed away peacefully on July 8th at his home after a long battle with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. Born on October 20th, 1947 in Durban, South Africa to Harry Witt and Ethel Richter. Michael, better known as Mike, was a lifelong lover of books, puzzle games and a recent Lego aficionado. Mike married Elaine in Johannesburg in 1975 and moved to Canada in 1978. They were happily together for over 50 wonderful years. Together they had a loving family and raised two accomplished daughters: Joanne (m. Michael) and Samantha. He leaves behind his beloved grandchildren Hudson, Deacon and Charlotte. Mike will be remembered for his teasing nature, selflessness and devotion to his family. May his memory be a blessing. A funeral service will be held at Pardes Chaim (address not shown), Maple on Friday July 10 at 1:30 pm, followed by immediate burial.
