We read every email.
The fastest way to reach us
For everything — questions, vendor updates, synagogue partnerships, family feedback, things we got wrong, things we got right — email is the best path.
contact@neshama.caWe're a small two-person team. Replies usually come within 1–2 business days. If something is urgent and time-sensitive (like a family in immediate need or a listing error during a shiva), please put "urgent" in the subject line.
What we hear about most
- Vendors: updates to your listing, photos, kosher certification, hours, contact info. Email a vendor update.
- Families and friends: questions about how to use the meal coordination tool, things to bring to a shiva, feedback on the Shiva Guide PDF. Email family feedback.
- Synagogues, funeral homes, community organizations: partnership inquiries, bulletin sharing, resource referrals. Email about a partnership.
- Press and media: reach out at contact@neshama.ca with "Press" in the subject.
- Something broken or wrong on the site: include a link or screenshot if you can. Email a site issue.
Who you're emailing
Erin Kofman and Jordana Mednick — the two of us who built Neshama. We read every email and reply, usually within a day.
A note about scope: Neshama is a free community resource. We are not a funeral home, not a chevra kadisha, and not a substitute for the rabbi, doctor, or community professional in your life. If you're in an urgent moment, please reach your rabbi, your funeral home, your family doctor, or 9-8-8 first (Canada's national Suicide Crisis Helpline — call or text 9-8-8 from any phone, free, 24 hours a day, available in English and French).
